AuraTech Cleaning Solutions("we", "us") is the responsible party for personal information processed through our website and booking platform. Contact: hello@smcleaning.com, Protea Village, Annlin, Pretoria, South Africa.

• Account data: name, email, and authentication identifiers via Clerk (our identity provider).
• Booking data: service address, notes, date/time, service selection, pricing, payment status, and booking history.
• Payment data: payment references and status from Stitch (we do not store your full bank credentials).
• Technical data: device/browser type, IP address, and analytics cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
• Communications: emails, calendar invites, and support messages.

We process personal information to:

• Provide, schedule, and manage cleaning services you request;
• Process deposits and payments;
• Send booking confirmations and calendar invitations;
• Operate our loyalty rewards programme;
• Improve our website and customer experience;
• Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations;
• Prevent fraud and protect our systems.

Our lawful bases under POPIA include consent, contract performance, legitimate interest, and legal obligation, as applicable to each processing activity.

We share data only as needed with trusted processors, including:

• Clerk — authentication and account management;
• Stitch Money / Svix — bank payment processing and webhooks;
• Amazon Web Services — database hosting (DynamoDB);
• Vercel — website hosting and analytics;
• Google — optional calendar sync and maps embeds.

Processors are bound by contractual safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.

Some providers may process data outside South Africa (e.g. EU/US cloud regions). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or provider certifications.

We retain booking and payment records for at least 5 years for tax and accounting purposes, or longer if required by law or to resolve disputes. Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter.

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, signed webhooks, and industry-standard cloud security. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and protect your account.

You may request to:

• Access personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• Delete information where we no longer have a lawful basis (subject to legal retention);
• Object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing is consent-based;
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).

Our services are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without parental consent.
